About Me
I enjoy lifting up others and supporting them on their journey to be the best version of themselves.
My hobbies include travelling, hiking (including inside of lava tubes), reading, exercising, and playing video games with my 14 year old son.
I am an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Washington with 16 years of combined experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I received my Master of Science in Nursing from Seattle University in 2009 with a focus in family medicine and earned my post master’s degree from Regis College in 2023 with a focus in psychiatry and mental health care.
A lifelong Seattle resident, my diverse career path has included roles as a retail manager, corrections officer, public health nurse, triage nurse, and an advanced practice nurse.
A pivotal experience working in a correctional facility—where I met my husband, a staff psychologist—solidified my commitment to nursing and serving society's most vulnerable populations.
My first ARNP job was at a privately owned pain clinic where I learned how to form strong, non-judgmental relationships with my patients and helped them improve their daily functioning despite their pain. Many of my chronic pain patients suffered with depression and insomnia secondary to their pain. This experience reinforced my belief in the mind body connection.
I then transitioned to Fred Hutch where I worked in the anesthesia department and in the orthopedics department where I was part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in the management of benign and malignant tumors. It was an invaluable, humbling experience working with oncology patients and understanding how to best support them during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
Since June 2023, I’ve worked in outpatient mental healthcare treating adolescents and adults with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression and mood disorders. It is truly a joy to support my clients as they learn to thrive, no matter what curveballs life throws their way!
